Balochistan Education Support Project

Consultancy Services of Third Party Validation (TDP)

1. Two Government of Pakistan has received Credit # 4203 -PAK in July 2006 from the World Bank  (IDA) for The Balochistan Support project (BESP) to establish community and private schools in Balochistan through public-private partnership.

2. Balochistan Education Foundation (BEF) was created in 1984 through an act of the Provincial Assembly. It was restructured in 2004 to meet the challenges of Balochistan Education Support project (BESP) 2006-2011) funded by the World Bank. BEF is based in Quetta, managed by a seventeen member board and headed by the Governor of Balochistan.

3. BEF has completed Phase 1 and 2 of BESP implementation and now seek services of a qualified consultant to perform Third Party Validation (TPV) of BESP in a short term assignment.

4. BEF invites Expression of interest (Eol) from qualified firms / individuals. Application for Eol and TORs are available on BEFs website: www.bef.org.pk. Firms may also obtain additional information from BEF office during 0900-1400 hours on working days. You may also request information through emails from info@bef.org.pk and bef_h@yahoo.com

5. Firms will be selected in accordance with the World Bank's "Guidelines for Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrows, May 2004".

Only short listed firms will be contacted t submit financial and technical proposals on the specified request for proposals (RFP) format. The Eols should reach the address mentioned below by 1400 hours on July 10, 2008.
